We got to talk to the owner, Kris W., a LA-transplant who looked elsewhere to start her business. “I wanted to change of scenery and SF seemed like the place to be.” With a huge smile on her face, her spot opened only two weeks ago. “It’s pretty dead here on the weekends but on weekdays, it’s constantly busy.” As we took our first sip of the sea salt black tea, our immediate reaction: this is HELLA good. A tea that isn’t too sweet, isn’t too dark, but leaves a velvet after taste.
Equipped with the Sacramento-based Temple Coffee, Kris is excited to serve the FiDi area with hearty beer-like tea drinks. “I’m very happy to be here,” Kris said to us with a chuckle.
