What says summer more than a tomato salad? Balakian Farms, one of the restaurant’s purveyors, has a reputation for “letting produce speak for itself” and we sure haven’t gotten a word out while devouring their salad, topped with shaved candy-striped beets, whipped fromage blanc, Frog Hollow Farm’s red plums, garden basil, a sprinkle of sumac and drizzle of California Olive Ranch olive oil. Not to mention, we’re dying to indulge in Farmshop’s refreshing Sandia cocktail — a zesty mix of Mezcal El Silencio, Full Belly Farm’s heirloom melon and tajin. Sure don’t mind a pitcher or two of those!
It’s apparent that Farmshop Marin has a distinctive voice; and you’ll definitely find that, whether it be from the crowd favorite, a Brick Roasted Jidori Chicken with organic pearled farro, dried prunes, balakian farms plums & smoked almond salsa, or the more recent Gigli Pasta with house-made fennel sausage and squash blossom pesto. And of course, who doesn’t love a good Fried Chicken Monday? Their delectable poultry is offered dine in or take out every Monday from 5:30 – 9:00 pm.
