The Jewish empire continues to rise with SF’s Wise Sons’ to expand another location on their watch.
Hoodline reports that they’ve taken over the lease of Artis, the wee cafe at 537 Octavia Street, and a Wise Sons location — likely a bagelry and cafe, like the one they just opened in Larkspur this week at the Marin County Mart.
One cool thing about this build-in is Wise Sons’ plans to staff the original Artis employee’s as full fledged Wise Sons’ employees. Sources also confirms that unless Wise Sons wants to go through some major Planning rigamarole, they’re going to want to stick with just “limited restaurant use” at the Octavia space, so this likely won’t be a full-fledged deli location—though the Wise Sons team has not yet confirmed nor denied this.
Wise Sons meanwhile now has five locations with this one, including their outpost at the Jewish Museum, the Fillmore bagel bakery, and their 24th Street deli flagship.
