Oppo today announced the release of the N1 Mini in India, more than two months after it had officially unveiled the handset. The company is touting the N1 Mini as the successor to its last year’s flagship — the N1 — and is both smaller and lighter than its predecessor.  The N1 Mini comes with the same 260-degree rotating camera that we had originally seen on its predecessor, which can act as a front as well as a rear-facing camera. Other specs of the handset are as follows:

5-inch 720p IPS display Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage 13MP Sony Exmor R lens with F/2.0 aperture 2140mAh non-removable battery Android 4.3 with Colors OS 1.4

It is quite disappointing to that Oppo still has not updated the N1 Mini to Android 4.4 KitKat, which is now nearly 9 months old. The handset will hit the Indian markets later this week for a maximum retail price of Rs. 26,990 and will be available in three colors — light blue, white and lemon yellow.
